History of Walla Insurance

Walla Insurance Agency was established in 1920 by Mr. Eddie Walla. Mr Walla owned and operated a local cotton gin and wanted to insure cotton bales. He found a company, signed up as an agent and started writing cotton products insurance for himself and other cotton gins in the area. Sometime around the early 30's Mr. Walla suffered a heart attack and sold the gin and focused selling property and casualty insurance.

After his death in 1948, the agency was run by his wife, Mrs. Eva Walla who managed the business with the help of a young man named Adolph Muska. In October 1965, Mr. Muska purchased the agency and operated it until his retirement in 1991. Purchased by his son in 1991 the agency has flourshed and grown with each passing year.

The company incorporated on October 1, 1998 and changed to Muska Insurance Services, Inc. The corporation will still do business as Walla Insurance Agency.

The agency that once represented one company and sold only cotton insurance now is a full line insurance agency, representing over 25 different companies and selling all types of commercial and personal insurance to the Central Texas community.
